Eligibility:

  • Open to any eligible applicants with existing pre-commercial innovations.
  • Projects must demonstrate a credible route to market and include a commercialisation plan.

Project Requirements:

  • Total project costs ranging from £50,000 to £100,000, inclusive of VAT.
  • Focus on real-world implementation and testing of clean air technology.
  • Must work closely with potential users and customers.

Specific Themes:

  • Monitoring air pollutants or using data to create actionable insights.
  • Extracting harmful pollution from the atmosphere.
  • Mitigating harmful emissions at their source.

Exclusions:

  • Projects without existing Clean Air Tech innovation needing real-world research.
  • Projects that generate more harmful pollutants than are removed.
  • Projects with a significant negative overall environmental impact.
  • Duplications of other funded initiatives or existing commercial solutions.

Project Focus: Conducting extended field trials to evaluate and enhance emerging technological solutions in the clean air domain, including monitoring, mitigating, or extracting air pollution.
